Ever since I got my iphone I have been addicted to the app store and all of the amazing apps that they offer there! In this post im going to go over some of my favorite apps that you MUST grab in the future!

First of all a quick recap of some of the must have day to day apps that I find myself using all day long.

1.Facebook -For obvious reasons

2. Tweetie – I find this to be the BEST twitter app in the app store for its price. ($2.99) It has everything you need, from adding picture, re tweeting and showing people your current location.

3.AIM (free version) – If you don’t mind putting up with some ads from time to time, the free version on AIM (Aol Instant Messenger) gives you everything you need to keep in touch with people from your Iphone! It even has push notifications!

4.Flickr – This app just came out last week and it is VERY polished! They had a few issues at first but did a quite update to fix them! If you want a easy way to publish picture to your feed, look no further

5.Pandora- Im sure you all know what pandora is, this gives you all the things of the online version but it uses wifi, and 3g so you can plug it in in your car and rock out on the go!

6. Digg – This is a recent app that got released in the past 24 hours! All of you know the awesome site http://www.digg.com, and now there is a FREE Iphone app that I think is almost better then the original site! You can still bookmark storys and like or dislike them. A must pick up for all digg fans.

Now to the fun part, the gadgets and games! I think my fiance will agree that this is definitely my weakness!

1. Doodle jump – Doodle jump is a very easy and simple to learn game that is horribly addicting! The basic controls of the game and moving your iphone side to side as your character moved higher and higher from block to block gaining points the higher he goes. Along the way you will find power-ups that can launch you higher into the air and more! As well as some monsters that you are able to shoot out of your way! Back of monsters! For 99c it is a must buy for anymore that has spare time on your hands.

2. N.O.V.A – N.o.v.a is a first person shooter for the iphone, well let me back up a bit, the BEST first person shooter that is available for the iphone. It has your typical alien vs marine type storyline. Many of said it is comparable to the first halo as well as its storyline! you basically have to play this game to believe it. Controls are flawless and the game play time is insanely long, you wont be able to put it down. The price tag is currently 4.99$ and worth every penny.

3. GT Racing – The best (in my opinion racing game available for the iphone. Awesome different choices of controls, cars, tracks and more. You can even play head to head online with people all over the world via wi-fi.

Day to day I find that the app store grows. With a wide selection from games to things to help balance your budget, schedule and more. If you own an iphone or itouch and are not familiar with the app store I suggest you do! Or maybe not if your low on cash, because you might see the money start flying away.

Cheers

Hey all, I just wanted to share with you a very intense and strange dream that I had last night. I don’t normally share this type of stuff but this is just so vivid in my mind and I remember alot of details so im going to share its strangeness…

The dream started off as a vacation to Iraq (don’t ask me why we were doing this we just were) We were there looking at different locations. The US military presence was very low, if not non-present at all. I remember going into a little hut type location for lunch, or so we thought. We (and when I say we I am talking about me and my friend David from way back in elementary school.) sat down and a group of people came up to us and asked us to stand up. We knew there was a lot of religious traditions and such that we needed to follow, so we figured it would be in our best interest to get up as they asked. As we got up a truck pulled up next to this area that we were in. They asked us to get into the truck. I remember looking at David in confusion as we both just got in.

The memory gets a little fuzzy at this point but I do remember arriving at a big, and I mean HUGE field of just sand. As far as the eye could see it was just SAND. They took us out and paraded us over to a shaded area behind the truck and sat us down. They walked away and as they did we both stood up, they all quickly started shooting into the air and demanding us to get back down. So we did. There were most likely 20-30 men that had taken us out there at this point and they were all looking around talking with each other as me and David sat their in total fear…

The next thing I know there is another large truck full of men, with some American looking men on the truck with them. Blindfolded. They seemed to be journalists or something but at this point we did not care.

I them woke up, and had to take a restroom break…in my mind as im getting up and out of bed I’m thinking about my dream and how happy I was that it was over, or so I thought….

I went back to bed and was so tired I feel right back asleep…

I appeared RIGHT BACK into my dream, moments if not SECONDS from where it left off and I remember feeling the same fear as before.

Just as I returned, as if I hit pause on my DVD player or something, they took some of the Americans off the truck and were sitting them down on their knees. Right as this happened a man from behind started to shoot them, all of them. At this point in my dream I felt it was 110% real. I was scared for my life and I actually had thoughts in my mind like, this is it, im gonig to die, this is the end, etc etc…Horrible I know…

Right as one of them men came and took us, walked us towards the areas where the previous men had been killed, I woke up again. This time I was sweating and really freaking out and happy to be alive! I was NOT going back to sleep! Not this time, this dream was OVER!

So for me felt like sharing this with all of you, not to freak you out, but to basically get it off my chest! It was one of the strangest, weird, real and just downright disturbing dreams I have ever had in my entire life.

And to think I was watching the food networks before bed, strange!

“For those of you that know Sean Bartley, one of the amazing baristas at journeys coffeehouse, you will know that Sean has always seemed to have this long hair that he loves. Just over a week ago now two of us were joking with Sean on shaving his head… the matter quickly came to that if we could raise $500 basically overnight he would shave his head and donate all of the money to breast cancer research. To all of our amazement we were able to raise not $500 but over $1000.

So today we gathered at journeys coffeehouse as well as online via a live streaming of the event to share in this amazing story. Sean has is hair dresser of many years, Kathy, come out to do the honors. We had several breast cancer survivors join us in person as well as on the live stream.

We just wanted to share the story and one man’s step in helping fight to find a cure. Please don’t let the fight end with just one event, keep on fighting for the cure.

For those that are on Facebook, there is a full photo collection here.”

Thanks Dan for the awesome conclusion to an awesome day and cause! I was honored to do this!

Tonight was a typical summer night that has to happen once a year. A night out at the fair. This includes the following:

1. Eating food that makes your stomach feel like its eating itself.

2. Looking at the people walking around feeling glad about your life and hoping people are blessed with non-weired syndrome.

3.Watching tigers perform tricks, and sit there hoping… I MEAN wondering if the tigers are going to eat the trainers.

All in all a typical night out at the fair, oh and if that was not fun enough I GET TO GO AGAIN this friday. How lucky could one be…

Now that I am home relaxing, im taking in the final hours im a long haired freak! Prepping my hair by getting all the big curls out and making sure its well conditioned for the cut tomorrow! Im actully pretty stoked about tomorrow, yea, im cutting off my hair but I am so proud like I said before to be giving so much money to a awesome cause!

You can view the hair cut LIVE TOMORROW at 5:30pm EST at this link! http://www.ustream.tv/channel/journeyscoffee

Off for the night now. Time to get some rest and relaxation. I get to open the shop tomorrow morning bright and early, it’s been awhile so I might be dead! Like I have always said before, yes im getting up early…but the best place to be when you are sleepy is around good coffee.

Have a good night all! And if you have nothing else to do in life, think about giving back to people. It makes you feel better then recieving anything in the world!

So as most of you know I have had long hair for most of my life. In fact the only time I have not was a very short time in middle school. My hair has made me pretty much the person I am today.

Early last week I said that I would cut of all my hair if we raised 500$ in the name of breast cancer awareness. I am proud to say that we have raised well over 1,000$ at this point and thats bad news for the fate of my long curly locks!

This coming thursday at 5:30pm EST, I will be rolling up my sleves, taking a deep breath and cutting of the hair that I have had for almost 12 years!

I am totally happy that I could raise money for a awesome cause! To me now, its much more than the hair, its about doing something that can make a diffrence!

I just wanted to post this in advance so that if anyone wants to come be a part of the fun, it will be taking place at JourneysCoffee house This Thursday at 5:30pm. If you CANT make it in person you can watch the LIVE online feed of the event at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/journeyscoffee. Of course picture will also follow!

See you all next time, and hey I might be about 20 pounds lighter!

Love to all!

For the people here that know me very well, you know that I use a site called Twitter.

Twitter is a socal networking and “micro” blogging platform that lets you post thoughts, ideas and even what your doing at that very moment to people all over the world.

Some people come to me and ask me why I use twitter and why do I even care what people are doing, or why should I care to share what i am doing with everyone else. Im going to explain to you why I use twitter and why ever since I was introduced to twitter, its been inpossible not to go a day without a “tweet”.

First of all twitter is a awesome way to share quick feeling with anyone. Its easy for me rather than to write a long, full length blog about something, to just write a quick comment of rant that I can send out in real time, instantly to people. Its a awesome way for you to tell people what your doing any why your fed up with something, you always can get direct or @replys from people that may or may not feel the same way. Its a awesome conversation starter, or something just to let people know how you feel on a quick basis.

Another way twitter is usefull to me is that I can see conversations in real time, from all around the world. You can even go to http://search.twitter.com and type in anything that is of intrest to you and find out what people are saying about it. You can join the conversations of just observe. Eather way, if your thinking of doing something or gonig somewhere or even thinking you might want to see a movie, twitter is a good way to find out fast if its even worth your time by reading thing people people all over.

Another think i have reall loved about twitter is the awesome links that have been shared. I have seen so much new, storys, and picture/movies that i would of never found on my own through twitter. You can post links to basicly anything you want and have them shared to the twitter world.

You can use google for quick awnsers to your questions, or in my case i like to use twitter to ask a question. With google you always get the awnsers your looking for right away, but with twitter you get the awnser with a personal responce, that my friends its awesome networking!

Your business can also prosper from twitter. Right now are currently using twitter for Journeys Coffee. We are using it to get our twitter followers involved and into the shop for diffrent discounts and such so that they can become more intrested. Also as far as your business goes, you can track what people are saying about your company on twitter. Get real time awnsers to issues you may be having, or things you may want to work on in the future.

Sitting here drinking a cup of coffee, I thought it would be a good time to give everyone a update. Not a time to rant about anything or talk about any of my really in depth issues, just a update on whats going on in my life.

Good news as far as the new studio computer is concerned. I had a reformat and a install of alot of my primary production software. Time to get rolling on some new music, im finding alot of new inspiration as of late so I need to get rolling with it and shoot out some tunes fast.

the album is finally 100% complete and the artwork is in the works right now, then printing will begin. For everyone that wants a speak peek at some of the tracks head over to my myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/seanbartley.

I will also be launching a new record label in the coming months in conjunction with trackitdown.net. This will be a digiital download only record label and you will have to go to trackitdown.net to get the tracks. (for now I hope to get a contract with itunes sometime this year as well.)

Things are rocking at Journeys Coffee house. We are pleased to welcome back Ken to the crew! Will be awesome to have him back on board!

So other then Music and work, I have been trying to do a bit more of just kicking back and relaxing. Spending more time with maggie and the family. Made sure to check out premiere of 24 this past sunday and monday. What a awesome show! I dont know how much the writers of that show are getting paid but I honestly dont think its enough! It’s just brilliant! House before had on monday night too, thats going to be one awesome night of TV.

So rocking out in 2009 is going pretty well so far. Year is off to a good start, not much different then 2008, but that may be a good thing. Hope all is well with everyone els. Talk to you all soon!

Hey all, This post may seem deep in nature but they are just some things that are on my mind at the time that I wish to share with you.

Sometimes just living day to day I find that I take so many things for granted. Nothing bad, nothing really that interesting as we would see in this day n age. Just little things that make up the happiness we are strive to be filled with on a day to day basis.

Many people say such things as “Oh wow, we take so much for granted that we have a house, food, friends, family, tv’s and all the best electronics, some people have nothing and we have everything!” For me sometimes I think even smaller than that. Even if I was a poor person living on the streets and all I had was a coat, and a shopping cat as my possessions, (luckily I am blessed with an amazing life thank our God.) I would think of little things so much more as alot of people would. Let me give you some examples.

Today my nieces from grand rapids came to visit for our family Christmas. My brother, and his gorgious 2 children. It was amazing to see them and to have them there, but I felt like I was admiring the little moments and the memory’s/thoughts that I had in my mind more than anything. Seeing them grow almost makes me feel like they are a part of me. I grew up with my brother Troy, and throughout our life until I could remember me and him were the same. Loved the same sports, games, ways to annoy my mother. ha ha just everything and to see him be such a good dad, and to see him turn out to be such an amazing person just makes me admire that more than anything, the little things, that to me and my family are more meaningful then anything money could ever buy.

When sharing personal bonds and friendships, that you know will never be lost, or just being with family and taking in things that don’t fit into our “daily routine”, you have to remember what means most to you. We think of work, stress, money way to much. We all need to focus on things that really matter. Mostly, Personal happiness. I find personal happiness within my family, Maggie, my rock and my girl as well as my best friend, and My Lord. These things I know will never turn their backs on me, and nor will I on them.

Admire little things, things that you don’t strive to on a daily basis and I promise you that you will find things in your heart that you never thought were there.

Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas, I know I sure did!

Until next time, Take care all.

Sean

A Week away from election day, im here to give you some tips that will help you out on Election Day. It can be a hassle to head to the polls during a presidential election, the busy crowds before work and such, but there are some things you can do before/during this time to make it a cake walk, and of course to make sure your vote counts!

1. Call your local elections office and confirm your voting location!
This is very important due to the fact that you may have moved or changed locations and without thinking, you may have overlooked the idea that you might be voting in a different place!

2. Bring ID to the polling location you are to vote at.
This is most commonly your state issued drivers license, but can range from anything that can prove you are who you are registered to vote under!

3. Ask poll workers for help!
If you have any questions about how to vote, or something on the ballots that seems to be confusing, please, don’t hesitate to ask someone for help, they will be more than willing!

4. (This is the most important point of all) MAKE SURE TO VOTE!
The lines may be long, and you might have to get to work, but polls are open all day! You can get there on your lunch break or after you get out of work! There is no reason next week to say you did not vote because you did not have the chance.

Voting in this country is something overlooked by many people. You have a voice in this election. Even if you don’t want to be apart of this historic presidential election, there are many other reason to get out to the polls and vote on things that not only effect you as a person, but your entire community!

I personally can not wait to cast my vote for Barack Obama next week, but no matter who your voting for, why your voting or anything els that matter. VOTE. You only have one chance to make change in this country and the world. Now is the time to stand up and make it happen!
